DANGER, Never feed them pigskins or rawhides

THEY WILL CHOKE !!!

I can't emphasize this enough. Just last week someone called me for a new puppy because they lost their 9 year old to a horrible accident involving a rawhide treat she choked to death on. There are no words for how awful this person felt who told me this tragic story. This same thing almost happened to us with Tank. Before I knew how dangerous these kinds of chew things are for bulldogs Tank was chewing on one and had it slimy and soft and it was half way down his throat and I had to literally pull it out of his mouth and I sat on the floor and pulled him into my arms and sobbed. If I hadn’t been RIGHT THERE when he did that he would have DIED! I was very grateful to God that I was. That was it. NO MORE rawhide anything for my animals.

Also, any toy that has stuffing needs to be closely monitored, because the stuffing is also a potential choking hazard. Please don’t test this warning. It’s not worth the risk. They love toys, all toys, but they don’t know the dangers you do. Their tracheas are small already and it doesn’t take much for them to choke. Please always be mindful and watchful of any toy that goes in their mouths. You never know when they will try and swallow pieces they chew off or choke on them. Get to know your bulldog and find out if they are a toy destroyer or if they aren’t. Harley would tear up toys in a matter of an hour after getting a new one and Ruger had the same stuffed Eeyore from when he was a baby when he was 12 years old! So different!! So you never know what you’re going to get with these kids!
